The Ronald Baxter Memorial Tour will make a stop in Tournai from 26 to 28 May and will park military vehicles in the museum courtyard on 27 May.
To honor the memory of British soldiers, the Ronald Baxter Memorial Tour, organized to mark the 85th anniversary of the 1940 campaign, will stop in Tournai from May 26 to 28, 2025. During this event, restored vintage vehicles will be on display to the public.
Schedule
Monday, May 26
- Departure from Faumont (Douai, France) at 4:30 p.m.;
- Arrival in Tournai around 5:00 p.m. via the N7 (Hertain), Chaussée de Lille, Avenue De Gaulle, Boulevard Bara, Rue du Ballon, and Rue Roc Saint-Nicaise to the Military History Museum.
Tuesday, May 27
- The vehicles will be on display in the courtyard of the Military History Museum, which will be open to the public exceptionally on this day.
Wednesday, May 28
- Departure from the museum between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.;
- the procession will follow a commemorative route through Ere, Saint-Maur, Froidmont, Esplechin, to Wannehain (France), with several historical stops, notably at the church of Saint-Maur and the Château farm in Ere.
